HR Benefits Administrator
HR Benefits Administrator MechoShade Systems, Inc. is an international manufacturer of manual/motorized sunscreen shading systems. With its corporate headquarters in Queens, NY, MechoShade employs over 400 employees in plants/offices throughout the country. The HR Benefits Administrator will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining all employee benefit programs (enrollments, terminations, and continuations of benefits); functioning as a liaison between vendors and employees (reconciling insurance bills and payroll deductions); researching new benefits; distributing employee benefit reports to managers and supervisors; creating and distributing a bi-monthly newsletter to all employees; and responding in a timely and professional manner to any employee inquiries/requests for information about the benefits. In addition, the Benefits Administrator will be an integral member of the HR Department and support a variety of additional HR functions including, but not limited to: maintaining the integrity of HR records; assisting with the new hire process; helping with various projects related to HR policies and procedures; playing an instrumental role in an upcoming HRIS implementation; and taking a proactive approach to knowing and understanding labor law and other HR issues.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must have an associate's degree or its equivalent. Candidates must have 2-4 years of experience in the Human Resources field with a familiarity of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the Benefits area of Human Resources. Candidates must have strong verbal and written communication skills and must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel). Candidates should have the ability to effectively work with all levels and types of employees and be able to communicate company policies and benefits one-on-one or in a group setting. Candidates will be expected to work independently; be detail-oriented, thorough, and organized in their work; and have the ability to handle multiple projects. While the HR Benefits Administrator will work under general supervision, candidates will be expected to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
