PwC's Human Resource Effectiveness Practice (HRE) assists large employers with improving the performance of the HR organization. This includes improving the delivery (administration) of HR programs, aligning HR strategy and people strategies with business strategies, streamlining and standardizing HR policies, practices and processes, transforming the HR organization to be more effective in managing human capital and supporting the business units.The primary responsibility of this position is to be an HR, Benefits or Payroll operational or consulting subject matter expert for client projects in which HR, Benefits or Payroll performance improvement is part of the scope of services we are required to deliver. The secondary responsibility is to assist the national HRE practice with consulting opportunities in the local office, region and nationally. It includes project management and the oversight, mentoring, and deployment of staff. Additionally, this position will be responsible for assisting the HRE practice with business development initiatives as needed on both a local and national basis.Major Responsibilities
Perform various tasks as a member of a project or workstream team, including but not limited to the following: Assist with HR shared services design and implementation project Assist with HR technology assessment and performance improvement project Assist with SAP/Oracle/Peoplesoft payroll implementation project Manage payroll/HRIS and other HR process reengineering engagements, including the process mapping of current state processes and identifying performance improvement opportunities Assist with evaluation of current payroll and HRIS system, business case to replace, upgrade or outsource payroll system Assist with designing and building a new payroll and HRIS infrastructure for an single employer or HR Outsourcing provider, including organizational design, systems design, process definition and staff development Conduct a payroll/HRIS and/or other HR outsourcing search and selection project Assist with HR and payroll operational assessments and performance improvement transformations, including assistance with payroll system implementations or upgrades Assess payroll outsourcing vendor performance, assist with development of performance improvement plan or vendor replacement and transition to new vendor REQUIREMENTS
Education Requirement:
Bachelor's Degree required. Industry credential such as SAP certification, Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or advanced degree preferred.Essential Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in SAP/Oracle/Peoplesoft HRIS and payroll implementations Demonstrated experience in SAP/Oracle/Peoplesoft coding HRIS experience where SAP/Oracle/Peoplesoft is the HRIS system would be desirable, either at an employer or with an HR Outsourcing provider At least 3 years experience with an SAP/Oracle/Peoplesoft consulting firm in implementing SAP/Oracle/Peoplesoft HRIS and payroll Is an advanced user of MS project, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, Word Has experience in working in one or more of the following areas: Working as a consultant in helping employers improve their HRIS performance through reengineering internal processes, implementation of HR shared service centers or the implementation of SAP/Oracle/Peoplesoft HRIS/payroll systems Implementation of SAP/Oracle/Peoplesoft payroll system Experience in working with an HR or payroll outsourcing supplier or HR BPO supplier with experience in designing the HR/payroll operational solutions, implementing such solutions or managing some aspect of the HRO or HR BPO operations on an ongoing basis Bachelor’s Degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience Ability and willingness to travel up to 100% of business year (current average travel experience, however, is 40%)
