Freight Analyst

Freight AnalystStandard Textile Co., Inc., is the international technology leader in the manufacturing and distribution of reusable textiles, apparel, surgical, and decorative products. We are currently seeking a Freight Analyst to be based at our corporate office in Cincinnati, OH.The Freight Analyst will assist with the daily operations of the transportation department, including performing freight analysis, and resolving transportation challenges.Key responsibilities include:
·Preparing monthly/yearly freight expense usage and expressing cost reports to monitor key metrics within the transportation field.·Providing freight quotes and analysis for customers and vendors.·Processing UPS, special freight, and motor and air carrier invoices for payment.·Maintaining files, records, and supporting documentations for all freight invoices.·Performing data entry, coding, and auditing. Preparing general ledger feed for freight documentations and payment.·Coordinating special transportation services required by the customer.
·Contacting and setting up appointments to meet with new volume load and expedited providers to negotiate rates and establish service requirements.·Work with customer service to determine best routing methods in the most cost effective manner, i.e. UPS, LTL, or combination.·Interfacing with carrier pricing departments for expense transfers.·Resolve issues with carriers when challenges arise.Bachelors degree is preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required, in addition to possessing excellent communication and organizational skills. Must hold prior knowledge in freight rating, payment, and freight coordination.
