Fortune 500- Seeking Human Resource Assistant
Classification: Temporary Compensation: $16 to $18 per hour Fortune 500 company is seeking a Human Resource Assistant. Primary responsibilities will include data entry, filing, updating and creating employee forms; Assist with recruiting efforts including, placing ads, conducting background checks, setting up interviews and applicant tracking; Maintain personnel files for employees and all other files relating to the Personnel/ employee relations function. Update employee records regarding hires, terminations, transfers, wage rates, status changes and other routine records; Coordinate labor relations meetings, the first, second, and third step grievance hearing process, and termination hearings ensuring that all facts are gathered and responses to grievances are timely and accurate; Coordinate the handling of unemployment claims and Department of Labor inquires, arbitration cases, EEOC and FMLA charges; while maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of employee personnel files and union-related records; Provide direction for EEO/AA compliance at plant level; Compose and distribute letters and memos, photocopy, assemble new hire orientation packets; And performs other duties as assigned.
