Food Innovation Admin/Coordinator
Dunhill Staffing in partnership with Yum! Brands Inc. is currently searching for a strong candidate for a Food Innovation Administrative Assistant/Coordinator. This position is Temp to Permanent Hire with benefits after only 8 weeks based on performance and attendance.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Support the AW/LJS Food Innovation, Quality Assurance and Engineering Team in facilitating communication, updating the AW/LJS Core FI, QA, and Engineering Blue Chips Pipeline progress calendar and providing administrative support where needed for the entire team.
Organizations Supported: A&W and Long John Silver’s Restaurants, AW/LJS Core FI, QA, Engineering Team
Restaurants/Markets (Indicate Franchise/Equity): Supports approximately 100 research panels per year.Managing weekly invoices and team related business cost incurrenceJOB FUNCTIONS:60% Administrative functions:
-Personal assistant for the Chief Food Innovation Officer, Director of Engineering and QA, and Senior Manager of QA and Core Product FI, managing the agenda, coordinating meetings and travel.
-Assist the team in running department functions efficiently, by scheduling department meetings & other department functions as directed. Update & coordinate the Core FI, QA, Eng. team calendar, facilitate team communication and schedule conference rooms.-Manage the AW/LJS Core FI, QA, Eng. Blue Chips progress with weekly calendar and project updates, ensuring that it is kept accurate and current.-Process department invoices; track budget.
-Manage the interoffice area, maintain office equipment, order all necessary office supplies, track all office inventory
-Answer phones; track down staff as needed
-Serve as receptionist for LJS/AW floor-Document creation (Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point) as directed
-Cover for Pipeline Food Innovation Administrative Assistant during vacations and absences
20% Coordinating all food product research panels for the department:-Work with AW/LJS Product developers, QA, and the YUM Sensory Team to schedule panels
-Supervise the ordering and tracking of product to be used by Core FI and QA for research and kitchen needs.
-Coordinate equipment transfers-Assist the Core FI, QA, and Eng. team during sensory panels (as needed)
20% Coordinating department functions:-Coordinate Dept. Food Presentations such as FAB, Menu Ad, NAWFA, investor/analyst lunches, which includes product procurement, securing labor & setting up presentations (including printed materials for presentations) and coordinating with other departments to ensure the successful completion of the presentation.-Order products from McLane, Gorton’s and other locations for Core FI, QA, and Eng. Department activities & events.

EDUCATION: Two-year degree in business or food related field.
EXPERIENCE (and other qualifications): 2-3 years administrative or office management experience; two years restaurant, R&D, or food related industry experience (preferred), technical skills to include PC, with advanced Microsoft Office Suite software skills, advanced communication skills to include interacting with all levels of employees; organizational and problem solving skills are essential, creativity desired.
