The Family Practice RMS Coordinator demonstrates their ability to integrate technical skills with knowledge of the business to provide effective utilization of information systems solutions.
1. Successfully manage required residency data (input and export) in New Innovations, Residency Management Suite (RMS) database application, and ensure data integrity and consistency to comply with all applicable accreditation requirements of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
2. Understand and interpret data to create useful reports/tables/charts.
3. Provide strategic guidance and recommendations for Family Practice Residency Program and Berry Family Health Center data systems quality improvements.
4. Participate in new version releases of the database and train users in the Miami Valley Hospital Family Practice Residency Program and Berry Family Health Center.
5. Compile, analyze and report on statistical information and operational indicators.
6. Promote wide use of statistics, indicators and trends as a management tool to improve the quality of operations.
7. Train and support Family Practice Residency and Berry Family Health Center staff to introduce, promote and strengthen sound data collection techniques and management methods, statistical standards, procedures and systems.
8. Assist the Family Practice Residency faculty, residents and staff in data collection, processing analysis and reporting necessary to maintain resident and faculty performance portfolios and to complete high quality scholarly endeavors.
REQUIREMENTS
POSITION SUMMARY-
This position is for an experienced administrative person capable of providing comprehensive data management essential to the accurate tracking of Family Practice resident competencies and other data necessary for the effective operation of the MVH Family Practice Residency Program.The Family Practice RMS Coordinator is primarily responsible for successfully managing and ensuring data integrity and consistency in the New Innovations, Residency Management Suite (RMS) data base application.Position serves as primary contact for all users of the RMS Application. This position requires an analytical, independent “doer” who will put a premium on accuracy, following-up on details, and juggling and completing multiple projects on time.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS-
Education: An Associate’s Degree in Business, Office Technology, Computer Science, MIS, Education or related degree is required.Licensure: Not applicable
Certification: Project Management Certification is encouraged.
Experience: 2 years of related Information Technology experience. Requires knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of applications, and good analytical and documentation skills. Knowledge and/or experience with residency programs preferred.Skills/Other: Proven ability to assist with projects involving an analysis of need, coordination of work effort, evaluation, and documentation. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.Proven organizational skills and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. Proven effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with technical staff, management, customers, vendors, other employees, physicians, patients, and visitors.Proven verbal and written communication skills.Basic Competencies:
