Job Description
ExpeditorObtains delivery dates for backordered parts from vendors and advises customers and other departments (i. e. Customer Service, Customer Support, Regions, etc.) of anticipated delivery dates.Updates computer system, customers and other departments of parts substitution and changes in delivery schedule.Follows up with factory.Answers inquiries for status of an order and shipping information from customers and other departments, provides tracking numbers and ETAs and resolves problems.Researches and resolves open issues on backorder, reservation backorder and open purchase order reports.Researches other options for backordered parts (look in UK, demo rooms, etc.)Maintains records for backordered parts, locates backordered parts from other Heidelberg agencies, expedites air freight, and customs releases. Assists the Manager, Parts Expediting with miscellaneous duties as needed to achieve the goals of the department.

The jobholders performance and some of the jobholders work is supervised and inspected by the Manager, Parts Expediting.
