Corporate Affairs Executive Assistant

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Corporate Affairs Administrative Assistant provides support for the Vice President, Corporate Affairs and the VP and Executive Director of the MeadWestvaco Foundation.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

- Managing complex calendar activity, including coordination of appointments for executives as well as planning/anticipating travel needs and independently coordinating complex travel arrangements

- Prepare travel and expense reports

- Independently compiling and preparing confidential reports and assisting in preparation of goals

- Prepare correspondence and other documents

- Provide telephone coverage

- Assist in reviewing and processing applications for the MeadWestvaco Foundation's employee matching gift and volunteer service programs, as well as processing grants to employees from the MeadWestvaco Employee Relief Fund

- Compile information/develop reports for Corporate Affairs, the MeadWestvaco Foundation and the MeadWestvaco Employee Relief Fund as needed

- Prepare deposits and other financial tasks

- Create Power Point presentations and Excel spreadsheets as required.

- Opening, sorting and distribution of mail; maintaining supplies and all general filing

- Assist on special projects...and/or teams, as needed

EDUCATION:
A.S. degree preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 5 years of experience with direct administrative support to individuals at the executive level.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

- Proficiency in computer applications including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Word, Power Point and Excel; document scanning; contributions management information system

- Advanced written and oral communication skills

- Strong attention to detail

- Organization and planning skills including the ability to handle multiple and/or changing priorities as needed

- Experience with numbers/financial information
