The SAVVIS Executive Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the Senior Vice President of Human Resources (SVP-HR).

Position Objectives:
Represents the function and HR leadership in all interactions with internal and external contactsEnsures SVP-HR is administratively organized; ensures administrative activities across the team are addressedPoint of contact for general office functionsSupport SVP-HR in projects as required

Essential duties:
Manage the HR office area with an eye to efficiency and customer serviceManage all information as sensitive and critical to the customer, employee and shareholderInteract and partner with other executive assistants to ensure the flow of information between all members of the executive teamAnswer phone and take messages; handle follow-up calls and pass along information to other team members as appropriate; manage in/out flow of emails and all correspondenceManage SVP-HR’s calendar keeping it current and accurate balancing meeting times with scheduled work timeMake travel arrangements and prepare subsequent expense reportsAttend meetings as required and handle appropriate follow upPrepare materials or presentations for meetings as neededAs appropriate, review correspondence, routine forms, etc. and prepare for approvalDevelops and maintains appropriate filing systems and documentation logsMaintain the accuracy of the Executive Team phone list, executive calendars and other documentsMaintain office supplies and equipment; order conference numbers and coordinate calls as neededOpen incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail (i.e. envelopes and labels, FedEx packages, etc.)

Required skills:
Must have 7+ years experience supporting executive level managementMust be proficient with Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, outlook, excel, word, etc.Ability to handle confidential matters and information with great discretion and diplomacyHandle multiple and changing projects/tasks in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detailAbility to get along with wide range of people at all levels – a team playerMust have excellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and flexible self starterProfessional phone skills

Desired skills:
Experience working in human resources; knowledge of telecoms and IT industriesCompleted college courses – general business, accounting

Education or Equivalent Experience:
High School diploma with 7+ years experience
