Education - program director

Cornell Companies, Inc is currently operating alternative education programs for regular and special needs children in the Reading, Lebanon, Harrisburg, and Philadelphia areas, grades 3-12. Our programs provide a safe and highly structured educational setting to improve the students' academic performance and attendance.


We are currently interviewing for the following positions:

Education Supervisor and Program Director

These positions will oversee our program that works with youth in an alternative school environment for the 2006-07 school year.
Job responsibilities vary by position but include supervision of staff and the education process, budget development and administration of general program operations for up to 400 students in Philadelphia.

Familiarity with the Philadelphia region, education services, social services, and adjudicated youth is preferred.

REQUIREMENTS
Education and experience vary by position. Supervisory experience is required for all supervisory positions. Education Supervisor must have teaching experience and a current PA teaching certificate.

Candidates must possess a valid PA driver's license, be 21 years of age, and pass criminal clearances (ACT 33 and 34, and FBI if out of state).
