Duty Officer ( Operations Manager )

AMDEX Corporation is seeking a Duty Officer (Operations Manager) responsible for the 24/7 operation of one of the world's largest and most successful IT operations center environments. This role is staffed 24/7. The Duty Officer is responsible for rapid impact assessment, and restoration of service(s) by directing teams of technicians in a complex technical environment. Rapid restoration of site issues is the primary focus of the DO, but suggesting changes that increase stability and availability, continuous improvement of the crisis management process, as well as advising senior management for strategic and tactical decision making.

The successful applicant must be able to:
-Give and receive direction across multiple levels of management and technical disciplines
-Make sound decisions in extremely short time frames under intense pressure in a complex technical environment
-Work Graveyard and Swing shifts as required to support a 24x7 staffing model
-Work weekends and Holidays
-Manage a frequently intense and sometimes stressful environment

Client-Server (OLTP-Online Transaction Process) Systems
Database Applications
High Volume email Delivery

Software Product Development Lifecycle
Supervisor or Team Lead Experience in a 24x7 production environment
Ability to Multitask and Prioritize on-the-fly

REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
-BA or BS degree (BS/EE, BS/CE or equivalent)
-6 years of management experience (managing a staff of twenty (20) or more people
-10 or more years Technical Work Experience
-Proven Ability to Lead Cross Functional Technical Teams
