Director of Compensation, Benefits and HRIS:
Security Benefit, a recognized industry leader in providing financial products and services, is seeking a seasoned manager to join its human resources team at the corporate headquarters in Topeka, KS.
Reporting to the VP of Human Resources and as part of the HR leadership team, the successful candidate will be accountable for (1) developing and implementing benefit and compensation programs that support the overall corporate philosophy and objectives for a 600+ organization; (2) ensuring the effective communication and administration of all programs; (3) developing HR policies and procedures that facilitate our performance-based culture, compliance with corporate and regulatory guidelines (including SOX), and efficient HR operations; and (4) overseeing the development and maintenance of technical HR systems to streamline HR operations, provide management information, and enhance service to associates. Managing a staff of four.
Qualifications: Minimum of 8 years of related experience; a broad HR background with experience leading a team of HR professionals and expertise in the areas of compensation, benefits, and HR systems. Bachelor's degree in a human resources or business related field. Advanced degree and/or professional designations (CCP, CEBS, SPHR) desirable. Excellent oral and written communication and human relation skills, a strategic orientation and excellent project management skills are required. Experience within the financial services industry preferred.
