Data Entry Clerk-SIPS

Sutter VNA & Hospice is one of Northern California's largest not-for-profit, community based home care and hospice agencies, providing high quality health care in patients' homes. Services include visiting nurses, rehabilitation therapists, medical social workers; home infusion therapy; home health aides, hospice care; bereavement programs; and community health clinics. Sutter VNA & Hospice serves ten Northern California counties with local offices in Emeryville, Concord, San Leandro, San Mateo, Santa Rosa, Sacramento, Tracy, and Roseville, and manages home health and hospice services in Marin County and San Francisco.

Under the direction of the Business Manager, the Data Entry Clerk is responsible for the timely data entry, editing and submission of data to appropriate files per company regulations, productivity standards and regulatory requirements. In addition to data entry completion, the incumbent provides support to the intake staff as appropriate to business needs.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Prior data entry experience required. 10,000 keystroke data entry skills required with understanding and ability to work in a Windows environment. Needs to be able to input, track and maintain various information with strong organizational and prioritization skills. Experience in a health care setting with medical terminology preferred. Demonstrated ability to spell and alphabetize accurately. Knowledge of filing, record keeping, photocopying and faxing. Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to retain confidential patient information. Needs to have the ability to set and meet project goals; be detail oriented, possess creative problem solving skills and be able to work efficiently with a minimum of supervision.
