DIRECTOR, RECRUITING AND RETENTION

The American Cancer Society's Home Office is seeking a dynamic strategic leader to direct and implement short and long-term strategies in the areas of recruitment, retention, and organizational development, in order to secure the strategic talent and capabilities necessary for the accomplishment of the business goals and mission of the ACS.

Enhances the service offerings of the Recruitment and Retention team by incorporating new and improved Organizational Development (OD) solutions. Develops a Recruitment and OD rganizational Development needs assessment process, which will lead to departmental learning/training plans and/or other OD interventions. Provides OD expertise in support of ACS professional development, organizational change, and restructuring initiatives.

Directs ACS's recruitment strategy, creating internal/external alliances for an improved talent and capabilities pipeline. In collaboration with Office of Chief Diversity Officer, ensures this strategy provides equal access to all.

Identifies employee trends through climate assessments and other tools; develops necessary interventions. Measures and reports ROI of implemented initiatives and strategies. Serves as HR Partner for designated business areas; brokers HR services.

Positions HR Department as a leader for nationwide implementation of the Talent Management Initiative's recommendations. did Manages a team of 8 professional staff. Provides professional development opportunities/resources and creates individual development plans for Recruitment and Retention team. Develops and manages budget.
REQUIREMENTS
Requires MBA, Master's in Organization Development, or related field. Minimum of five years' progressively responsible experience in strategic planning, organization development and talent acquisition strategies. Demonstrated success in cultural change and change management initiatives. Proven experience in process improvement strategies. Demonstrated understanding of group dynamics and effective team-building strategies. Demonstrated success in negotiations, building alliances, and establishing success and performance metrics. Strong knowledge of organization development systems and strategies. Strong background in Talent Acquisition programs and strategies. Knowledge and understanding of human resources management. Ability to analyze and integrate information from relevant sources. Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrable oral and written communication skills. Proven ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and build effective organizational collaborations. Ability to work on self-directed basis within a team environment.
