Norandex/Reynolds, a $900 million unit of Owens Corning, is the largest distributor of vinyl siding in the U.S. The company operates 170 branches in 37 states and sells exterior building products to new home builders and remodeling contractors in their respective territories. Customer Service Representative / Warehouse Worker – Tulsa, OK
This position reports to the Branch Operations Manager and is responsible for branch customer service duties including inside sales, order entry, and bookkeeping. This position is also responsible for assisting a branch truck driver in selecting and loading material for delivery to customers. Must be able to lift 90 pounds.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Code and enter quotes and orders on a computer terminal.
Enter customer remittance on a computer terminal.
Maintain all stock transactions on a computer terminal.
Enter stock material orders on a computer terminal.
Code and otherwise prepare customer invoices.
Verify and attach special order acknowledgement and receivers to customer orders.
Sell company product lines to walk-in customers.
Seek to establish new customers through telephone and written solicitation.
Explain product's features, assembly, application, installation, and pricing.
Maintain the branch product display and literature area.
Assist in taking physical inventory.
Check incoming product to verify material against receiving documents, noting and reporting any discrepancies or damage.
Place material in proper storage locations and secure in accordance with safe storage, stacking, or palletizing methods.
Locate and stage material for delivery by company truck or for pickup by customers.
Assist branch truck driver by loading and securing material in the truck in a manner that assures no damage in transit.
Assure that material loaded for delivery matches shipping documents and that the products are in good condition.
REQUIREMENTS
Essential Physical Requirements:
Must be able, without assistance, to repeatedly lift and carry loads of up to 100 pounds throughout the day and walk with them to either store them, remove them from storage, or load them onto a tuck.
Must be able to sit for long periods of time and be able to operate a computer or other keyboard instrument.
Must be able to move short distances, from workstation to customer service counter and showroom area, frequently throughout the day.
Must be able to move longer distances, from workstation to warehouse, occasionally.
Must be able to lift and carry products of moderate weight to demonstrate features and functions to the customer.
Required Education, Experience and Skills:Must be able to read, write and speak English and be able to understand verbal and written instructions.
Must be able to use a calculator to perform basic math calculations.
Must be skilled in using personal computers or terminals for word processing, order entry, and spreadsheet preparation. Specific software experience may be required.
Post high school education in a business or accounting discipline, or equivalent on the job training, is preferred though not required.
Must have at least one year experience in performing customer service, clerical and bookkeeping duties, preferable in a distribution environment.
Must be able to work in the US on an unlimited basis.
