Controller-In-Training - Atlanta

Is your goal to be a Controller with a Fortune 100 company? FreshPoint, a wholly owned subsidiary of SYSCO Corporation with 30+ distribution locations across the continental United States and Canada, has an exciting opportunity for an aspiring Controller! We are seeking a candidate for our Controller-In-Training program. As a Controller-In-Training you will be contributing to the organization while at the same time you will be developed to manage and oversee all finance and accounting functions of a distribution facility. After 6-12 months of intense training in various areas of finance, successful candidates would be considered for placement as a Divisional Controller at a FreshPoint Operating Company within the United States. We are looking for local candidates in the Atlanta, GA area who are willing to train in Atlanta and relocate at the end of the training program to one of our 30+ locations across the country.
REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for consideration you must have a 4 year degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of 3 years experience of progressively more responsibility in accounting/finance roles. A CPA, CMA or equivalent experience is a plus as well as strong knowledge of GAAP. The successful candidate will possess a strong knowledge of accounting and finance, strong analytical skills, strong leadership and communication skills, the ability to multi-task and strong Microsoft Office and Excel knowledge. Previous experience with a parent/subsidiary organization is a plus as is AS 400 and Sarbanes-Oxley knowledge. Contractual negotiation experience is also considered a plus.
