Perform routine and non-routine clerical tasks to support departmental activity, including recording and compiling information of a moderately complex nature.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Accurately record pertinent information in departmental files, ledgers or other records, as directed by established policies and procedures; identify errors in classification of information, or other errors, and resolve or refer to supervisor.

Review departmental reports, calculations or other documents, checking work and verifying accuracy of data; refer problems to preparer or supervisor, in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Provide prompt service to requests for information from other departments; verify file related information, communicate needed information to inquiring parties, and prepare files or other material for use by other departments, initiating timely delivery of material when requested.

Perform various clerical support duties (i.e. relieving staff in other positions, miscellaneous typing, data entry, or other tasks) as assigned. Maintain activity sheet as required.

Assist departmental staff in attaching material to files, retrieving files, monitoring the location of files and other material, locating information to complete or correct material, and preparing files for storage or delivery as required.

Other activities as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS
High school degree or equiavalent
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
2 years minimum experience in an adminstrative/clerical position
Familiar with MS Office Programs
