Twin Cities Public Television is a mission centered media organization that has been serving Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota and the surrounding region since 1957. We strongly believe that our work can and should help to create a more vibrant and informed community.
We do this in three key ways:
Present we are curators of quality TV; from PBS and other sources we seek out the highest quality, most trustworthy programs across a wide spectrum of interests and broadcast them on 2 analog and 6 digital television stations
Produce we produce original television programs for both national and regional broadcast designed to educate, inform and inspire
Partner we seek to create connections (both through and beyond television) with our audience and between our audience and other mission-centered organizations throughout our region.
Twin Cities Public Television is a community supported institution - receiving 53% of its operating funds from local individuals, 14% from corporations and foundations, 20% from earned revenue and other sources, and only 13% from state and federal government sources. For nearly 50 years, our community has been a national leader in support for public television.
TPT/Twin Cities Public Television is pleased to announce the position opening for a part time Call Center Supervisor in the Member & Viewer Services Department. This position will provide supervision to Call Center Representatives and volunteers performing outbound telefundraising and inbound pledge calls in the Call Center.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will possess:
A successful work history in a Call Center sales or fundraising environment. Associates degree preferred but not required.
1+ years of inbound and outbound Call Center supervisory experience. Experience making Telemarketing calls required.
Comfort and agility operating and troubleshooting computers and technology, including:
o Windows Operating System
o Databases, spreadsheets, word processing and web software (Filemaker, Access, Excel, Word, Outlook, terminal emulators, web browsers, etc.)
o Checking computer and electronic equipment wires, cables and cords for basic configuration problems or malfunctions.
The ability to create effective, high quality relationships with internal and external constituents.
Exceptional attention to quality of service.
Exceptional customer service.
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communications skills.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
The ability to successfully handle details with accuracy in a fast-paced, multi-client setting.
Exceptional experience in supervising employees; including the ability to motivate and train staff to achieve success.
A well-developed sense of strategy, and an appreciation of the integral role played by the Call Center function within the company.
A familiarity with programming on tpt.
