Compact Power has an immediate opening for a Call Center Rep (part-time) at our corporate headquarters in Fort Mill, SC. This is a part-time position (20-25 hours per week) requiring weekday afternoons (4-7 PM) and Saturday work.

The ideal candidate for this job will have a strong customer service background, with experience in the rental equipment industry preferred. This job involves heavy telephone contact with customers to assist them with equipment rentals. The job also receives calls for service and repairs on equipment out in the field.

Duties and Responsibilities

•Takes incoming calls from customers inquiring about rental equipment, rates, and locations.

•Provides customers with rental rate quotes.

•Provides customers with information on nearest rental locations for particular machines they are interested in.

•Receives calls on equipment needing service/repair in the field, and dispatches service techs.

•Provides customers with technical information on equipment.

•Enters equipment rental contracts into Rental Man software system.

•Communicates with hub locations and stores to report equipment needing service and other problems or issues.

•Maintains a log of calls received, and takes appropriate action to ensure that problems are resolved quickly and performs necessary follow-up steps with customers.
REQUIREMENTS
•Excellent customer service and telephone skills (CUSTOMER SERVICE FANATIC!!!)
•Excellent verbal communication skills
•Knowledge of rental equipment industry preferred
•Experience working in heavy data entry environment
•Strong computer skills
•Experience using AS400 software systems a plus
•Ability to work weekday afternoons and Saturdays
