Benefits and Leave Administrator

Administer leaves of absence and benefits, ensuring compliance with any applicable laws or regulations.
Administer leaves: FMLA, military, personal, etc. Determine eligibility. Calculate and collect insurance premiums. Track staff on leave, follow up to ensure return to work. Complete and submit STD, LTD paperwork. Find accommodating jobs for staff members with work restrictions. Initiate termination of employees who do not return. Prepare and provide information to legal counsel.
Administer workers compensation: Ensure compliance with established policies & regulations. Work closely with third party administrator. Prepare and provide information to legal counsel.
Administer various benefit plans: medical, dental, STD, LTD, etc. Communicate benefits to staff and ensure enrollment/waiver documentation is properly completed.
Work with safety program to ensure compliance with established procedures and OSHA regulations. Review accident reports, compile data. File First Reports of Injury. Participate in Safety Steering Committee.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in human resources.
Three to five years human resources experience required.
Benefits, insurance, workers compensation or FMLA experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
