Benefits Specialist

Midwest Research Institute has a position available for a Benefits Specialist at our Headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri. This is a highly visible opportunity in client services for benefit administration. In addition to meeting the benefit needs of our technical staff you will be responsible for the administration of health & welfare plans, benefits data, assisting in the development and review of benefits related communications, and participating in on-going benefits related projects. Additional duties may include work assigned by the Benefits Manager, but performed independently. Responsible for benefit billing; processing retirement plan distributions; and compiling quarterly benefits data to generate reports.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree desired with a minimum of three years experience in a benefits administration.Must have general knowledge of human resources policies, practices, and procedures.Proficient in use of HRIS systems, database management, spreadsheet analysis, and word processing. Demonstrated ability to learn new software/systems.
