BOOKKEEPER OFFICE MANAGER

FULL CHARGE BOOKKEEPER OFFICE MANAGER FOR SPECIALTY TOY STORE

We are looking for a bright, organized, dynamic and dependable person to play a central role in the operation and organization of our retail business. We are a MANHATTAN based company with two very busy retail locations. We maintain a comfortable, upbeat and highly efficient team-oriented environment, which relies heavily on each individual’s ability to maintain a positive, can-do attitude and a sense of humor. Candidates must be committed to excellence, have exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Tracking income and expense for two locations with multiple corporations through G/L
-Preparation of J/E’s and adjustments
-A/P paid by check and credit card including tracking vendor credits and verifying terms of payment
-Bank and credit card statement reconciliation’s
-Interface data between POS system and QuickBooks.
-Track daily sales envelopes and resolve discrepancies with Store Managers
-Schedule Corp Tax and Sales Tax payments including timely responses to tax notices and landlord inquiries such as sales reporting and insurance documentation
-Verify and periodically review with Owner, broadband and telephone service as well as other suppliers, including credit card and banking terms
-Bi-weekly payroll processing including allocation of payroll between corporations.
-Maintenance of employee records, guidelines and terms of employment including the creation of forms, memos and other methods of communication with employees.
-Periodically create and place ads for employment, review applications and schedule interviews w/GM
-Closely communicate with General Manager and Owner regarding store issues and procedures
-Interface with, troubleshoot and document all issues with POS vendor
-Prepare records for monthly meetings with CPA and correspond w/CPA as needed
-Purchase general supplies for stores and office, maintain vendor

Do not reply unless you have proven mastery of QuickBooks in addition to the following requirements:

-BS/BA degree or equivalent
-At least three years experience managing above responsibilities
-Interest and experience in using technology to improve work efficiency
-Detail oriented, exceptional organizational skills and ideas, and the ability to tolerate ambiguity
-Ability to handle highly sensitive, confidential and non-routine information
-Current, verifiable references
M-F 9:30am – 6:00 pm
