Authorization Coordinator

Growing medical device company in Anaheim is looking for a Justification/Authorization Coordinator for their growing office.
JOB DUTIES:
*Check benefit eligibility of patient by telephoning the insurance carrier.
*Input patient and prosthetic data into Microsoft Access database.
*Using Microsoft Word, create justification letters utilizing evaluations faxed from branches.
*Using Microsoft Excel, create estimates by using appropriate L-Codes.
*Effectively communicate with branch and practitioner to clarify any questions and update status pertaining to letter and estimate creation as well as authorization process.
*Maintain and update the Justification template letters and estimates.
*Create Materials cost estimate upon request.
*Create and maintain Pending Letters & Authorization Variance Report weekly.
*Assist in answering the UEPP 800 telephone line as necessary.
*Ad Hoc reporting as needed.
