Yoh IT has an immediate opening for an Assistant Product Development Manager – Networking in Compton.
Job Description:
This position is responsible for developing and maintaining of our client’s Networking Product Line. Requires a strong understanding of computers and electronics. Experience with networking and WLAN is preferred; experience with original device manufacturers (ODMs) is also preferred.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Ensure that the our clients Networking Product Line is recognized as the best in class by resellers and end users for its value, quality, selection, innovation, features, reliability, and ease of use.
·Ongoing evaluation of the entire networking line to ensure that our client delivers the latest technology packaged in the most user friendly and intuitive interface to the end user.
·Increase profitability by driving cost reduction.
·Increase sales and profitability of existing product lines by launching innovative product solutions.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Project-manage development efforts to ensure that software and hardware transitions are completed on schedule without sacrificing quality.
·Develop, execute and own maintenance/cost-down plans for existing product lines
·Work in partnership with Global Sourcing team to identify ODM solutions that will improve cost-efficiency and quality of products.
·Develop, Test, and Localize products for each specific region covered by our client’s Global Sales teams.
·Work in collaboration with R&D and QA teams to maximize our client’s product interoperability in any given environment, as well as to take products through local/agency certification process.
·Test and evaluate product firmware and software drivers.
·Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
·Understand and follow company rules and regulations.
·Perform all other duties as assigned and required.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
·Four-year college degree in the field of Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
·One to two years of product development or project management experience.
·Computer Experience: Familiar with setup and configuring of networking protocols in Windows, Mac, Linux, and Unix operating systems.
·Language Skill: Fluency in English
