National Interstate wants you to add your vision and drive to our team! Due to growth, we are currently seeking a technical Assistant Product Manager I - Personal Lines-RV/Companion Auto for our Richfield Corporate office.
The technical & analytical Assistant Product Manager will assist the Product Manager in all facets of designing, implementing, servicing and marketing of the RV product to ensure product profitability. This includes the introduction of the RV product or other specialty products in new states.
Main responsibilities will include:
•Research, compile and analyze competitor data, including underwriting guidelines, insurance coverage, rates/pricing strategies, and policy forms
•Assist in building profile reports of the Company’s RV business, defining and outlining the demographic make-up of our book of business
•Work with Product Manager to analyze and recommend program changes, including target markets, underwriting guidelines, coverage options, pricing methodologies, service standards and policy issuance processes
•Work with employees in other departments, including but not limited to, claims, customer service and legal, to develop and improve our product offerings
•Become an expert in our policy processing system
•Assist in providing product information to other company departments as required for market conduct reviews, audits or other regulatory events
•Correspond with agents as required for duties of position
Qualifications we’re looking for:
•Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university
•MBA or CPCU a plus
•1-2 years transportation insurance related experience strongly preferred or proven strong entry-level technical skills
•Adaptable to change
•Excellent interpersonal communications skills
•Ability to write reports and effectively presents information and responses to questions from fellow employees, customers, agents, regulatory bodies and the general public
•Knowledge of PCs especially databases, spreadsheets, and word processing
•Ability to solve complex problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
•Ability to collect, analyze and interpret data from a variety of sources
•Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
