Assistant General Manager - Office of Transportation ProgramsJob Description
Directs employees in three bureaus
Ensures that the design of transportation projects carried out by other agencies is compatible with the City’s traffic operational needs
Coordinates the use of local sales tax and other transportation funds
Reviews private and public building plans and projects to ensure the adequacy of traffic circulation and access or other transportation modes
Responsible for medium and long-range surface transportation planning
manages several transit programs and coordinates those programs with other agencies’ transit programs
Regulates and monitors the operations of taxicab, ambulance and other for-hire vehicle companies
REQUIREMENTS
Assistant General Manager - Office of Transportation ProgramsJob Requirements:Two years of full-time paid experience as a senior executive (head or assistant head) of an organization responsible for the development, implementation, or administration of major urban transportation systems; ORTwo years of full-time paid experience with the City of Los Angeles in a class at least at a level equivalent to Principal Transportation Engineer supervising transportation engineering or planning work.TO APPLYInterested applicants should immediately submit a letter of interest, resume, and names and numbers of three work-related references to:
