As Associate Director, Human Resources, you will provide HR counsel on all HR-related matters for the Princeton R&D Site. You will consult, in a partnership role, with client management and HR Business Partners to develop effective HR strategies, and to assure optimum delivery of all required and requested HR services in support of business needs. You will take active initiation and participation in various site management committee meetings. You will direct and oversee the delivery of all site HR services for R&D (staffing, compensation, training, employee relations, benefits administration) to all Princeton client groups - partnering with the appropriate core HR service providers and R&D HR Business Partners. You will direct and oversee the Princeton HR Operations group to ensure the smooth and effective delivery of HRIS, data administration, reports, compensation, and benefits programs to both Princeton site/personnel, and will lead the Site efforts to transition the scheduled HR Service Delivery Initiative. You will work closely with HR Business Partners and core HR service providers to ensure effective site implementation of major, on-going Wyeth programs, including the annual performance management process, mid-year and year-end salary programs, and Eagles program. You will identify, propose, and implement HR best practices for the site. You will work closely with R&D and Pharma HR groups to leverage expertise and utilize resources to support and promote client group business objectives. You will provide problem evaluation and interpretation of policy for management and employees, and will advise and counsel employees and management with the objective of problem prevention and resolution. You will handle high-level HR issues and highly confidential assignments for the management team, and will assist business leaders with training, development, and succession planning issues. You will design and propose initiatives and programs to train and develop employees, increase productivity, improve morale, motivate employees, and create a positive employee relations climate.
This position requires a BS/BA degree in Human Resources Management, Organization Development, Business, or a related discipline - an MS or MBA is preferred. Must have a minimum of 10 years HR experience in all aspects of HR management, with emphasis on consulting, employee relations, and organizational development. Pharmaceutical experience is preferred, especially in an R&D environment. Must possess strong management skills to build and maintain excellence within the HR group. A demonstrated success in applying strong business acumen to HR issues, and is providing integrated HR support in a highly collaborative matrix environment is required. Must have knowledge of government regulations and compliance as related to Affirmative Action, EEO, and employment law. Must be hands-on, and be able to create and implement programs that improve the overall effectiveness of the organization.
