Application Systems Analyst / Mid-Level Sys Admin
This position is for a Unix System Administrator reporting to the Sr. System Administration team lead. The candidate would be responsible for software installation, equipment installation, configuration, monitoring, and testing of Unix servers and applications. S/he would be responsible for engineering activities associated with network and system implementation and operations.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education: BS or BA or applicable Technical Certifications
Minimum Experience: 4 years experience.
Minimum Clearance: Secret
System Administration experience with Sun Solaris and . Solaris experience is a must, where as the Windows experience is a
would like to have. We need two strong Sr. Unix administrators, with solid background in backup and recovery, shell scripting, server build, and Unix application support experience.
Experience installing and monitoring hardware, network, and database (Oracle preferred) components required.
Experience in conducting system tape backups and system restoration actions, required.
Ability to support site deployments is required.
Solaris certification or Microsoft certification is desirable. Experience with building Solaris packages for installing software is a big plus.
Windows 2000 / 2003 Server desired.
Experience with installing VPNs in Solaris or Windows 2000/2003 is a plus.
Experience installing and configuring secure shell (SSH) servers is a plus
Experience with installing and configuring Apache and Tomcat web servers is a plus
System Administration experience with installing patches to the Sun Solaris and Windows 2000 operating system in response to Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) is a big plus.
Experience installing and administrating Lucent ISA (or similar network management COTS products) a big plus
Experience with installing Java run-time environment and applications is a big plus
Experience with SSL certificates or SSH public and private keys is a plus
Experience in configuring Solaris servers and Unix applications for concurrency and high availability is a big plus.
Experience in configuring Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle to exhcnage data is a plus
