Administrator/CNO
The Administrator/CNO is responsible for the day-to-day clinical and administrative activities of the facility, including profit and loss responsibility, and ensuring compliance with all State and Federal regulations. This position is accountable for ensuring optimal quality patient care, the optimum utilization of human resources, and strategic planning for patient care services and programs. This employee provides leadership to all facility staff in meeting the goal of providing quality patient care. General Responsibilities..... 1. Identify with, share in, and display a commitment to the mission, philosophy, and objectives of the organization. 2. Direct the provision of optimal quality patient care in support of the mission statement of the organization, defined Patient Care Standards and regulatory agency requirements. 3. Direct the operation of Patient Care Services, including all inpatient units, surgical services, cardiopulmonary, Laboratory, Pharmacy and dietary. 4. Assure Performance Improvement/Risk Management functions are developed, evaluated, maintained and integrated throughout the hospital. 5. Represent nursing and patient care issues as an active participant in Hospital committees. 6. Plan, direct, and monitor the scheduling, budgeting, and utilization of human resources to meet staffing needs based on census and acuity of patient needs. 7. Participate in strategic planning goals and direction of the hospital and integrate overall vision. 8. Enhance the clinical practice of staff members by developing and coordinating nursing education inclusive of orientation, ongoing education, seminars and specialty programs. 9. Provide active consultation to Human Resources in areas of nurse recruitment, compensation, and retention. 10. Plan, develop, and coordinate new patient care related services and programs and enhance existing services. 11. Provide direction and support to subordinate managers and staff to assure departmental effectiveness and efficiency. 12. Facilitate patient-focused and staff-focused models to enhance quality, efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
REQUIREMENTS
*** Minimum of a Master's degree in Nursing or other health care equivalent degree.***Experience: Proven leadership ability with at least (3) years of experience as an administrator in either a surgery center or acute care facility. Excellent oral and written communication skills excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills.
Licenses/Certificates: Current State of Texas RN license.
