Administrative Specialist

The successful candidate will support Workforce and Professional Development with all administrative functions. Research potential training vendors and other resources to meet professional development needs. Administer the Educational Assistance program including entry of data into PeopleSoft. Conduct research to identify optimal college/university programs for employees. Manage the Training Library and Professional Development website. Assist with event planning and running events. Handle all processing/printing/distribution of award certificates. Maintain electronic and paper filing systems.
REQUIREMENTS
Ability to take initiative, work independently, and work on several different types of tasks simultaneously. Experience identifying and evaluating training vendors. Attention to detail, excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook). Able to proof own and others' work products. Ability to create presentations and brief groups of employees. Minimum of 3 years administrative experience and a Bachelor's degree. Excellent people skills and an ability to quickly conduct research by phone and on the Web and to synthesize the information into useful products.
