In 1991, two of San Francisco's oldest and most respected medical institutions, Pacific Presbyterian Hospital and Children's Hospital of San Francisco, merged to form California Pacific Medical Center. Davies Medical Center joined in 1998 and became the center's third campus. Today, with its 1,254 licensed acute care beds and 25 residential beds, California Pacific Medical Center is one of the largest private, not-for-profit academic medical centers in California. California Pacific Medical Center affiliated with Sutter Health in 1996 and is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
The Administrative Secretary will join a dynamic group of administrative and research staff and scientists at the San Francisco Coordinating Center (SFCC), part of the CPMC Research Institute (CPMCRI), the research arm of California Pacific Medical Center. The SFCC does large scale and novel clinical research in an academic setting, focusing on women's health and aging. We specialize in designing, coordinating, and analyzing results from multi-center observational studies and trials.
The Administrative Secretary will provide comprehensive administrative assistance and support to the Program Manager of the SF Coordinating Center. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Preparation of vendor agreements, independent contractor agreements, subcontract agreements, purchase orders, expense reimbursements, travel advances; Word processing of curriculum vitae, biosketches and other support pages; Maintain filing and organization of all agreements and correspondence; Provide backup services for the Financial Assistant position; Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Must have high school diploma and 3 years of related administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge: Must have excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite with a good knowledge of Excel. Knowledge of general office procedures, such as creating and maintaining alpha-numeric filing systems.
Skills: Strong communication and writing skills; the ability to communicate with diplomacy and tact. Must possess excellent organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to manage a multitude of responsibilities with a high degree of accuracy and be flexible to work independently and as a team player. Prior experience working as an Administrative Assistant preferred.
