Woodstream is a diversified branded consumer products company serving the retail industry with a brand portfolio that includes Victor® rodent control, Havahart® caring control equipment, Safer Brand® organic pest control and Perky Pet® birdfeeders. We are working to grow our business through product and market innovation and by working closely with our retail partners.

The successful candidate will facilitate the market development process which is broadly defined as identifying, targeting and satisfying profitable groups of consumers in assigned market categories.

Responsibilities:

Create and obtain approval for budget for assigned product(s) (revenue, gross margin and expenses).

Prepare and update forecast.

Champion a diverge/converge and execution on solutions needed to convince consumers/buyers to buy assigned products.

Champion a diverge/converge and execution on eCommerce solutions needed to convince consumers/buyers to buy assigned products.

Champion a diverge/converge and execution on tools needed to convince trade to buy assigned products/category. Assure that tools are provided when/where needed.

Measure and analyze results re: objectives/action plans/budget/forecast.

Develop/coach others so that they develop personalized knowledge facilitating their presentations to convince customers/buyers.

Acquire/Train/Compensate/Review internal or external resources assigned to facilitate the market development process. REQUIREMENTS


Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, process, and analytical skills.

Proven ability to think strategically.

Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, or Finance.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in marketing/sales/sales management.

Knowledge of financial analysis as it applies to profitability of assigned products and categories.

Knowledge of Microsoft software with emphasis on Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher and Front Page.

Flexible team player – able to both lead and follow.

Quick learner, independent thinker.
