Administrative Assistant / Benefits Coordinator

Global consumer packaging firm now hiring Administrative Assistant to support HR/Benefits Department.

Duties include but not limited to:
- 80% of duties are administrative functions and 20% of duties are benefits related functions
- Scheduling meetings and travel arrangements
- Order office supplies
- Provide receptionist back-up relief
- Scan benefit documents
- Maintain and research HR personnel files
- Email STD (Short Term Disability) reports weekly to managers
- Generate monthly extracts to Health and Welfare carriers
- Reconcile montly premimum billing reports
- Update revisions to benefits manual as needed
- Utilize HRIS Lawson system to maintain HR database

Ideal candidate should possess the following:
- Minimum 2 years of HR Benefits Administration experience required
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required
- HRIS Lawson software experience a preferred
- Extroverted professional with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize various tasks and objectives simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Proactive personality that is willing to take the initiative to learn functions of the job quickly
- Must have strong Benefit Administration experience but be happy with a mostly Administrative Assistant role
- High School diploma required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
