Accts Receivable Clerk - EDI/Scan Based Trading Clerk

PRINCIPAL ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the reconciliation of general ledger accounts related to eCommerce activities and follow-through with reconciliations to ensure data is clear and in balance
Responsible for the preparation of manual journal entries
Assist in communicating with bakery accounting office personnel to resolve trading partner issues
Track trading partners’ compliance with payment terms and frequency of payments
Research payment discrepancies and communicate discrepancies to the trading partner, either verbally or in writing
Adhere to and maintain Internal Control standards set by the company
Determine appropriate profit center charge for trading partner deductions
Responsible for the timely and accurate allocation of remittance items
Follow-up and resolve scan based trading journal entry differences with the bakery accounting offices
Communicate scan based trading issues to management
Support the eCommerce team with special projects
Maintain the Open Items Report in the General Office eCommerce system
REQUIREMENTS
JOB SPECIFICATIONS -

Education and/or on-the-job experience needed
High School Diploma and 2-3 years relevant accounting experience required
Accounts Receivable experience preferred
SAP or other systems experience a plus

Industry-specific knowledge, skills & abilities needed
Accounting Policy & Key Accounting Practices – Ability to understand and apply general accounting knowledge; Understand the process of reconciling accounts and reports
Data Gathering & Analysis - Understand how to read, analyze and interpret accounting transactional detail
Customer intimacy – Solid customer service skills

Functional/Job-Related knowledge, skills & abilities needed
Problem Identification & Resolution – Ability to identify, resolve, and communicate issues
Personal Computer Skills – Proficient in Excel and Word; Proficient in 10-key and data entry skills
New Application and Operating Systems Adoption – Learns new applications/software systems effectively and efficiently
Work Planning, Organization and Execution – Effective planning, follow-up and organizational skills; ability to meet multiple deadlines
Governance, Decision-Making & Follow-through – Ability to adhere to and maintain company policy and standards
