Position Overview:
Serve as the coordinator for all Accounts Receivable. Handle all aspects of this area including data entry, maintaining database, sending monthly statements, filing, placing phone calls and sending letters to past due accounts. Provide back up to the Payroll Administrator, as well as filing for Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Human Resources. All Cash entries, including all bank deposits.
Principle Accountabilities:
60%Post charges, credits, electronic funds (EFT) and lock box payments (including registration and bus deposits) on a daily basis. Post accounts receivable activity to the general ledger at least weekly. Prepare and mail monthly statements, and handle questions regarding accounts. Run aging reports as well as other various reports on a monthly basis as requested. Process tuition time payment contracts, track student accident and tuition refund insurance, and textbook credit forms. Work with Financial Aid Director on student financial aid accounts. Make collection calls and write letters on past due accounts, as well as various other A/R duties as assigned. Do a monthly reconciliation of the Accounts Receivable account.
20%Prepare bank deposits, deliver deposits to the bank as needed, and post entries to general ledger.
10%Do all filing for Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Human Resources. Provide assistance as needed to Human Resources, including two mass mailings a year. Provide back up to Payroll Administrator when needed.
10%Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma (post-secondary accounting education/experience preferred)
Two years accounts receivable/collections experience
Detail-oriented and thorough with strong organizational skills
Strong communications skills – written and verbal
Strong mathematical/analytical skills
Strong initiative and problem solving skills
Strong computer aptitude with knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, and a willingness to learn new software.
Ability to handle confidential materials
Positive attitude
Ability to work independently as well as a team player
Strong interpersonal skills – ability to interact with employees at all levels, Blake parents, and others in the Blake community in a friendly and professional manner.
Willingness to make calls on past-due accounts
Two years payroll experience (preferred)
Knowledge of ADP and Blackbaud Software(preferred)
