Job Description The GEO Group, Inc. (GEO) is a world leader in the delivery of correctional and detention management, medical and mental health rehabilitation services and other diversified services to federal, state and local government agencies around the globe. We currently have an Accounting Clerk position available at our George W. Hill Correctional Facility.

The candidate in this position is responsible for providing all the activities associated with inmate trust accounts; employee welfare accounts; commissary accounts. Duties also include responsibility for inmate welfare accounts and the petty cash account.Job RequirementsThe successful candidate must possess an Associates degree in accounting, auditing or related field; three years of experience may be substituted for formal education. Two years experience in a position with emphasis on funds accountability, auditing, and management is required. Experience with automated accounting systems is preferred. Ten key and computer knowledge is highly desirable. Able to pass background investigation, drug screen and medical evaluation.
