GENERAL SUMMARY OVERVIEW/STATEMENTThe Administrative Director for the Center for Cardiovascular Disease in Women is responsible for supporting and implementing the strategic priorities for women and cardiovascular disease for Brigham and Women's Hospital. The Administrative Director reports to the Director of Women's Health Programs for the Connors Center for Women's Health and Gender Biology, and works in collaboration with the Chief, Division of Women's Health for Brigham and Women's Hospital.The Center for Cardiovascular Disease in Women is committed to improving and maintaining the cardiovascular health of women though excellence in clinical care, research, patient and provider education, and community outreach and advocacy. The Administrative Director will help design, implement and oversee programs of the Center, including development and evaluation of research and programs, development of internal and external collaborations, and fund development.The Center for Cardiovascular Disease in Women is part of the Connors Center for Women's Health and Gender Biology, and is a matrix program with the Center of Excellence in Cardiovascular Disease. The Connors Center is a multidisciplinary center that is committed to improving the health of women through clinical care, research, developing leaders in women's health, global women's health, and influencing women's health policy. The Administrative Director will work closely with the rest of the Connors Center team to foster the growth, expansion, and effectiveness of the Center.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Responsible for supporting and implementing the strategic priorities for women and cardiovascular disease for the Brigham and Women's Hospital Center of Excellence in Cardiovascular Disease.
2. Staff the Women and Cardiovascular Disease sub-committee of the Cardiovascular Disease Council. Undertake research, arrange and prepare meeting agendas, plan and implement follow-up actions.
3. Help develop new clinical components to the Center for Cardiovascular Disease in Women including program planning, development, implementation and evaluation.
4. Supervise all Center staff including Program Coordinator, interns, and others as needed.
5. Identify funding opportunities for Center programs and initiatives; prepare grant proposal submissions.
6. Manage program grants, including submission of human subjects applications and reporting.
7. Identify opportunities and strategies for collaboration among internal and external programs; implement strategies for collaboration.
8. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
