<b>Staff Accountant </b>

Long term temporary assignment with potential to become permanent. Perform a variety of accounting duties under minimum supervision. Maintains general and subsidiary ledgers to aid in interim financial statement preparation. Make adjusting journal entries from accounting subsidiary systems and prepare internal audit work papers to support general ledger accounts as required. *Maintain general ledger to include making and posting adjusting journal entries. *Prepare supplemental audit schedules to support general ledger accounts on a monthly basis. *Perform analysis of reporting information from accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll systems to insure integrity of all accounting data. *Assists Controller with analytical and variance reports. *Prepares internal audit work papers as required.
REQUIREMENTS
BS/BA in Business Administration/Accounting plus a minimum of two years accounting experience required. Computer experience and training in accounting software and spreadsheets and knowledge of work papers, subsidiary ledgers, and cash flow reporting preferred. Must possess a strong knowledge of accrual basis accounting, accounting theory, and generally accepted accounting principles. Must have a working knowledge of accounting subsystems to include Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger.
