entry level Accountant

Purpose:
Primary Responsibilities:
-Calculate and analyze all financial data for an assigned portfolio of mutual funds
-Calculate the daily net asset values for mutual funds and distribution rates
-Maintains all aspects of the funds? books. This includes: reconciling all general ledger accounts within a fund, performing analysis on cash discrepancies and interest income/accrual
-Works with outside auditors in answering any questions regarding the assigned portfolio of funds
-Calculates the funds? monthly SEC yields including analysis of changes from previous month
-Hitting daily deadline of 5 PM
-Assist in special projects as assigned by the Fund Accounting Manager

Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting required* (Finance degrees will be considered on a case-by-case basis)
-Attention to detail very important
-Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
-Time management/time oriented individual
