XOG/NARS Internal Controls Manager

Summary:
Reporting to the Corporate Director of Global Internal Controls and the Wilsonville Chief Accountant, this position will be responsible for managing a world class Internal Controls function within the Xerox Office Group (XOG) and North American Resellers (NARS) organizations.


Responsibilities:
Focus includes coordinating global internal control activities for XOG and NARS. This includes ensuring compliance with existing Xerox policies, GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, as well as internal control policies. Also includes follow-up on recommendations made by internal and external audit; working with Accounting and Operations Managers to ensure processes are updated and documented based on expected procedures and policies; and maintaining a communication link with the Corporate Internal Controls organization and with the Internal Controls network.



Specific responsibilities include:

· Develop and implement Internal Controls action plan on an annual basis.

· Manage Sarbanes-Oxley compliance program for Xerox XOG and NARS.

· Support the XOG and NARS Xerox Management Audit Committee (XMAC) process. Assist with development of self-assessment testing and results review. Review internal control plans and weaknesses with XOG and NARS senior management.

· Review and communicate policies to the Finance team and to Operations, as applicable.

· Validate quarterly account reconciliations.

· Propose changes to processes where internal weaknesses exist.

· Support month- and quarter-end internal controls reporting.

· Prepare quarterly and year-end internal control representation letters (submitted to Xerox Corporation CEO and CFO or PwC)
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
Requires a BS/BA in Accounting or Finance, CPA or CIA and 7-10 years’ of internal controls and management experience. Public accounting/audit experience is required. The ideal candidate will have solid accounting and internal controls knowledge, including GAAP and FASB as well as experience with Oracle, Essbase, Excel and Access. This position also requires excellent interpersonal communication skills; a strong customer support attitude; the proven ability to work well with users to analyze needs and recommend solutions; and the demonstrated ability to multi-task and balance priorities. Willingness to work flexible hours for month-end processing and project completion is also required.
