Vice President of Leasing
Our client, a National Real Estate Owner/Manager/Developer has an immediate need for a Vice President of Leasing for their Medical/Healthcare division.
The candidate we are seeking can best be described as a National Leasing/Transaction Director for medical properties.
The primary responsibilities include leasing space to medical care providers by contacting physician practices, preparing and coordinating marketing material, developing and building relationships, negotiating and consummating lease agreements and assuring timely tenancy.
Duties to include:
Provide transaction support to first party (company controlled) properties focusing specifically on large transactions or significant opportunities for enhancing investor value
Grow the leasing and transaction business of the Company by developing geographic and service offering strategies and implementing same
Develop and recruit staff to provide transaction services in selected markets and facilitate the identification of investment opportunities.
Assist in preparation of proposals and participate in marketing presentations.
Work with clients/investors to understand their objectives and assist them in strategic leasing and real estate matters.
Prepare marketing plans for medical office properties.
Identify appropriate contacts and potential tenants.
Qualify prospects and provide information regarding properties.
Present opportunity and show space to potential tenants.
Facilitate negotiations regarding business terms and transaction issues from 5,000 – 250,000 SF.
Work with asset managers and property managers regarding property activity and reporting.
Assist property managers with lease renewals from time to time.
Remain knowledgeable and up to date regarding direction, market position, and activity of each property.
Occasionally provide tenant representation services to healthcare clients.
Assist in new business development, real estate consulting, and assessment activity that will enhance the value and facilitate the growth of the enterprise.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in medical / commercial real estate leasing, have a valid real estate license in State of residence, be highly motivated, enjoy working with people, excellent written and verbal skills. This position requires excellent sales and marketing skills. Candidate must have knowledge of the medical real estate market and various aspects of property management. Candidate must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Must possess strong negotiating skills, work independently, and have strong sales skills.
