VP Finance & Risk

Classification: Contract to Full Time Compensation: $115000 to $140000 per year ROLE OVERVIEW: Reporting to the Head of Finance and Risk, the job holder will manage the process for the preparation of the financial, regulatory and risk reporting the Branch. The job holder will be expected to achieve this through effective day to day management of the Finance & Risk staff and by ensuring that all reporting is prepared in line with the set procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Responsibility for the preparation of both the internal management reporting within the branch and the financial accounts and disclosure information required for consolidation into the TS Head Office balance sheet.
•Responsibility for the preparation of relevant FED/OCC and CIMA regulatory returns which required to be submitted by TS New York.
•Responsibility for the risk reporting of TS, New York ensuring accurate and timely information flows to the Front Office and for detailed reporting risk positions to the London Head Office and New York Treasury Risk Committee
•Deputise for the Head of Finance and Risk in his/her absence.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
•Management of the daily management accounting process and for ensuring the accuracy of the reported earnings prior to distribution to Senior Management.
•Monitor the Branch invoice and expenses process and provide reporting to Senior Management of expense variances against budgets.
•Management of the daily risk reporting process and for preparation of the weekly risk papers for distribution to New York Treasury Risk Reporting Committee.
•Management of the monthly financial and management accounting process. Primarily ensuring that all accounting reconciliations are completed and financial information is submitted to London Head Office and to Branch Management to meet the monthly deadlines.•Oversight of the preparation of the FED/OCC & CIMA regulatory returns and review of the final returns for sign off by the Head of Finance & Risk.
•Assist with ensuring the TS New York branch's compliance with U.S. tax requirements.
•Assist with the testing and implementation of changes/upgrades to the Branch systems.
•Be responsible for ensuring regular updates to the internal Finance and Risk procedures and documentation.
