UBB Vendor Collections Representative

Business Unit: GE Commercial Finance, Capital SolutionsFunction: CollectionsResponsibilities: * Contact end-user customers and vendor partners to collect aged vendor receivables in order to minimize delinquency and maximize sundry income
Coordinate efforts to resolve vendor receivable delinquency, payment misapplications and payment/charge disputes
Responsible for the performance of assigned portfolio of accounts
Develop and maintain positive, productive relationships with industry segments, team members, end-user customers, vendor partners and other company components
Complete deemed-uncollectible submittals as appropriate
Document contacts with end-user customer and vendor partners per procedures
Provide feedback to internal business units regarding trends, collection efforts on accounts and process improvements in a professional manner
Maintain established call volume in a manual and automated (as applicable) environment
Meet/exceed targeted goals, including delinquency targets, and service standards
Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: * High school diploma or GED
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Demonstrated strong negotiation and escalation skills - able to negotiate assertively or collaboratively as required
Excellent communication skills-interpersonal, verbal, and written with the goal of influencing outcomes
Self starter; attention to detail; accurate and well organized
Strong problem solving and mathematical skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong work ethic demonstrated through attendance, individual and team commitmentsDesired: * 2+ years of previous collections experience in leasing, financial services, or call center environment
Previous work in a leasing, financial services, or call center environment
2-4 year college degree
Experience with other Microsoft applications
