Telco Billing Administrator

Summary Analyzes, administers, and implements the audits and processing of invoices from telecommunications service providers including IXCs, LECs and service vendors.


Responsibilities

Enter bills into audit application on a timely basis.

Audit telecom service provider invoices to ensure accuracy; identify billing discrepancies/errors and other inappropriate charges; coordinate efforts with vendors to facilitate billing corrections and obtain credits for billing errors; submit invoices for payment prior to due dates to eliminate late fees.

Review telco inventory reports, service orders, and firm order commitments to determine if interconnect services are installed and billed as quoted/ordered.

Communicate with Telco Analysts, Network Planners, Facilities Coordinators and appropriate managers to insure billing and accounting accuracy.

Reconcile payments made to vendors and credits received for resolved disputes.

Research any past due billing to determine why an outstanding balance exists.

Review accrual entries at month end and provide explanations for any variances.

Make suggestions to improve bill audit processes and tools.

File bills as required.



Job Requirements




Qualifications

Associates degree required, Bachelor's preferred.

2-3 years experience in telecom billing, telecom revenue assurance, and/or accounts payable desired.

Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software and experience using database applications required
