Consultants in our Property Tax Services Group would assist several Property Tax Managers in the preparation of appraisals of various types of commercial real estate and personal property.  In addition, they would assist clients with their business property compliance reporting and 4-year audit review.  Duties would include researching market information and relevant tax law, analyzing comparable transactions, and preparing portions of appraisal reports and supporting schedules for presentation at Assessment Appeals Board hearings.  An Associate would also initiate contact with the Assessor's office, prepare correspondence, and maintain hearing schedules for upcoming hearings.
 
Property Tax consultants will be responsible for developing an understanding of the Deloitte Tax LLP tax approach, methodology and tools.    Projects may include performing and reviewing tax compliance in order to identify additional
client service opportunities.  Additional responsibilities include keeping clients informed of tax developments that affect their business and helping clients interpret and integrate tax considerations into their business strategy.  Consultants are expected to exhibit professional, business-like demeanor and establish consultative working relationships with client personal. Bachelor of Science/Business Administration in Accounting, Economics, Real Estate or Finance, Master of Science in Accounting or Taxation, or JD or LLM Degree (with undergraduate accounting degree)
 Minimum requirements to sit for CPA exam before beginning full-time employment preferable
 Strong academic credentials
 Relevant work experience (e.g. internships, summer positions, school jobs)
 Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills
 Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity
 Ability to work both independently and
