Tax Specialist-Partnerships

Responsibilities: Reporting to the Tax Manager, the Tax Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of partnership taxation and will work closely with the Tax Manager to efficiently and effectively produce the required deliverables for all tax team clients. The position can be full or part time. This person will prepare all Forms 1065 and K-1 for affiliate firms operating in partnership form; maintain a control list of all partnerships interests owned by the group; and provide liaison with the affiliate controllers to ensure receipt of Forms K-1 necessary for Form 1120 compliance. This person will maintain an annual tax basis rollforward of all firms basis in their partnership investments for purposes of measuring book- tax differences under FAS109; review the book accounting for investments in partnerships done by affiliate firms and advise the local controllers of the correct book accounting; and review acquisition documents as they relate to LLC structures in order to summarize Tax Department responsibilities post-acquisition as well as to ensure that tax compliance follows the deal documents.
