Tax Senior Analyst
Investment Banking firm a Senior Tax Analyst to join its Corporate Tax Group. The successful candidate will perform the following:
1. Update/develop quantitative models for: (a) new international tax legislation and its impact on the firm; (b) tax benefit of new/existing international tax structures and (c) components of the FTC calculation (e.g., CFC netting/ worldwide interest expense apportionment).
2. Coordinating with transfer pricing team, accounting, Treasurer's, provision team etc., to the extent necessary on the implementation of new international tax legislation, establishment of new foreign branches or subsidiaries, and maintenance of current international tax structures.
3. General tax research on international tax considerations (e.g., subpart F, investment in US property, foreign tax credits, PFICs, etc..) related to new product approvals, non-US acquisitions/investments, replying to IDRs, etc.
4. Reviewing business line to help identifying and monitor possible PFIC exposures, ensure that necessary PFIC information is received and coordinate with the provision and compliance team on any PFIC inclusions.

REQUIREMENTS
Undergraduate degree in Accounting.
CPA or MST/JD/LLM.
3 – 5 years applicable experience.
Understanding of international tax technical rules including: subpart F, s.956, s.1248, foreign tax credits, application of treaties, PFICs, rules applicable to foreign branches, etc.. Specific knowledge of rules applicable to financial service companies is a plus, but not a requirement.
Ability to perform research on RIA, CCH and BNA.
Strong project management skills.
Strong quantitative skills (modeling out scenarios of acquisitions, new tax laws, etc..).
Knowledge of FAS 109 is a plus.
