Tax Reviewer, Expatriate Tax

We currently seek a Tax Reviewer to join us in our Dallas office.KPMG's International Executive Services (IES) practice strives to help companies as they work to manage their international assignment programs. When our clients send their employees on international assignment, KPMG professionals provide proactive planning ideas and advise clients on international human resources and tax best practices. IES provides compliance, advisory, and administration services to help support our clients' businesses and assignees.Responsibilities:

Review and analyze tax and accounting information

Prepare client correspondence on various individual tax issues

Prepare developed research on individual or international tax issues

Participate in arrival and departure tax meetings for expatriates and inpatriates (foreign nationals)

Participate in the review of tax returns, equalizations and tax settlements, including a review in respect of compliance with client policy

Prepare or review miscellaneous tax, payroll and international assignment cost projection calculations, as required

Prepare complex tax returns and equalization calculations

Correspond with the IRS or state taxing authorities in relation to individual taxpayers’ tax notices

Conduct meetings with taxpayers in relation to the completion of their tax organizers

Review compensation reports for accuracy

Conduct basic accounting and audit functions

Assist in conducting firm training sessions
Job Requirements
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university

Working towards a CPA or Enrolled Agent qualifications

Prior experience at an accounting firm

Able to make decisions within defined responsibilities

Able to supervise and offer guidance to the staff
