Job Description:
Within Ernst & Young's Tax Operations practice, our General Business group has talented and dedicated professionals who provide quality compliance services in many industries, such as: consumer products; energy; manufacturing; technology; communications; and entertainment. We provide compliance approaches to businesses including corporations, partnerships, and S-corporations. Types of compliance products we produce include federal and state income and franchise tax returns, fixed asset maintenance, estimates, extensions,R &D tax calculations, amended returns, and much more.We currently have an excellent career opportunity for Tax Operations Staff. Using cutting-edge technology and working with team-oriented colleagues, the successful candidate will primarily be responsible for securing and analyzing client tax data used in the preparation of tax compliance products.Responsibilities
Analyze data and prepare workpapers based on professional standards. Process data and convert it to a compliance product.Determine the accuracy and completeness of the compliance product and perform quality assurance procedures. Prepare the product for delivery. File the compliance product electronically. Perform other related duties, as required.Establish/maintain long-term working relationships with clients. Share knowledge to develop professionally and enhance service delivery. Facilitate communication and provide ample assistance to team members. Participate in recruiting efforts when necessary. REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: To qualify, candidates must have: a bachelor's degree in a related field; or an associate's degree in a related field and 2-3 years of tax or related experience general knowledge or coursework in tax laws excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving ability strong written and verbal communication skills a commitment to learning and a tax technology environment PC proficiency, including MS Office
