Within Ernst & Young's Tax Operations practice, our General Business group has talented and dedicated professionals who provide quality compliance services in many industries, such as: consumer products; energy; manufacturing; technology; communications; and entertainment. We provide approaches to businesses including corporations, partnerships, and S-corporations. Our services include federal and state income and franchise tax returns, fixed asset maintenance, estimates, extensions,R &D tax calculations, amended returns, and much more.We currently have an excellent career opportunity for a Tax Operations Senior. Using cutting-edge technology and working with team-oriented colleagues, the successful candidate will be responsible for securing and analyzing client tax data used in the preparation and/or review of tax compliance products.Responsibilities
Interface with clients and team members to secure tax data. Collect/convert tax compliance data into an electronic format. Formulate a plan to gather/communicate information to the client and complete accurate compliance products.Analyze data and prepare workpapers based on professional standards. Determine the accuracy/completeness of the compliance product, perform quality assurance procedures, and prepare the product for delivery. Assist professionals in using technological tools.Establish/maintain long-term working relationships with clients. Share knowledge to develop professionally and enhance service delivery. Provide supervision to staff and peers. Participate in recruiting efforts when necessary. REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: To qualify, candidates must have: a bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 2 years of tax-related or other relevant experience; or an associate's degree in a related field and 4-5 years of tax-related or other relevant experience knowledge of current automated tax processing systems and tax laws within an area of technical specialization excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving ability strong written and verbal communication skills a commitment to learning in a tax technology environment proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
